This project consisted of the installation of a 1.24 km precast concrete wall along Highway 30 West. The purpose of this wall was to reduce sound levels for the coastal residents living alongside the highway.
In addition to the soundproof wall, other works were executed such as piles, poured concrete foundations, drainage restructuring, earthmoving and landscaping.
Statistics:
• Excavation = 6,800 m³
• B Class backfill = 8,000 m³
• 986 screw piles
• 209 reinforced concrete foundations
• Concrete = 700 m³
• Precast concrete wall = 1,240 m
• Topsoil = 18,500 m² (and hydroseeding)
