In 2010, the Nouvelle Autoroute 30 CJV consortium hired Roxboro for a project involving earthmoving, concrete divider construction and asphalting for Section 1 of Highway 30. Located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges RCM, this section of highway is flanked by the Saint Lawrence River to the south and the A20/A30/A540 interchange to the north.
The paving of Sector 1, including 11 overpasses, involved the application of over 260,000 tons of asphalt spanning 25 kilometers.
One of the main challenges of this project was rerouting highway traffic in order to pave the A20/A30/A540 interchange and 4 kilometres of the autoroute, all while minimizing the impact on road users.
The paving of the tunnel which travels under the Soulanges canal was also very challenging because of its length and limited height.
