This major project consists of expanding the south-west deck of the Montreal-Trudeau airport in order to increase capacity of nocturnal aircraft parking. This improvement work was necessary in order for the Montreal-Trudeau airport to increase its direct liaisons with large airports worldwide as well as to support annual growth in the number of passengers.
Due to a very tight schedule, we had to plan every construction detail with precision in order to maximize team efficiency to deliver the project within the required deadline.
Scope of works:
- Demolition of structure dedicated to Bombardier aircraft construction
- Excavation of 120,000 m³ of mass
- Soil decontamination (characterizations, works and monitoring entirely done internally)
- Storm and sewer mains: > 2 km of lines
- Aqueduct: > 1.3 km of mains for fire protection
- Underground network installation of high-voltage electrical supply
- Installation of high-mast and camera surveillance network
Statistics:
• Excavation of over 120,000 m³ of mass
• Conduits: 3.3 km
• Concrete deck slabs: 24,000 m³
